For the second release No Snakes invites a true Helsinki visionaire Agamwe into the party, with an EP that shows his ability to carve a unique sound from classic ingredients. A pioneer of ”Nilsu sound”, named after a legendary studio complex in Helsinki’s Nilsiänkatu, Agamwe has spent the last 10 years blending rhythms and melodies to form a sort of secret pattern. On Busy Angels, he’s showing more of a clubbier sound with running percussion and enormous kicks, but still keeping it quite experimental. You can hear a variety of influences from the farther realms of club music continuum and uk garage to 80s swept-in-reverb pop.
